Actually, I'm going to do something differeent - a real answer!
I'd suggest, because some fo those girls you meet here try to dress 'cute' rather than 'sexy'. Their worldy naivete comes off as cute, rather than the western "I already know" sexy and self-confidence.
The 'men' here want something different from women to what the men back in the west want, so the girls look and act different.
There's also a lot less layers of make-up being applied, because in general (due to quite a different diet and lifestyle) their skin tends to be cleaner and smoother. Because of the same reasons, they are naturally slimmer. Combine those with a difference in attitude to dressing, and you have 'prettier'.
And, no, I don't mean EVERY Chinese girl...
"kind", "cool" and "better".... ummmm..... yeah, I don't think so.... And here, it's a different type of bitchiness. You just haven't encountered it yet.
(btw, which bit of China are you in? Where you are will have a MAJOR impact on how you see China and it's people)

I completely agreed with you up until the make up and skin point . umm what ?! Chinese girls wear sooo much make up just like girls anywhere else ! There are those who do and those who don't , also just like anywhere else . (This post proves a theory my friends and I have, that men really can't tell when women are wearing make up contrary to what they believe). Now they may wear more natural looking make up , i.e. I don't see many Chinese girls with blue eyeshadow on . Or eyeshadow period . (I'm positive it's the whole lack of defined eyelids thing .) But foundation , concealer , mascara , eyeliner ?! And there are plenty of girls with bad skin , they're just wearing make up to cover it ! I'm in Shanghai so I guess I can only speak for here . I agree with most of the other things you said . Slimmer ? You call it slim I call it pre-puberty , but that's a different story . Prettier ? This I disagree with . Pretty is a simple word that typically refers to one's face and nothing else . (If you want to include physique, clothes , attitude , that's attractive , sexy , etc.) That being said the faces of Chinese girls are just as pretty and ugly as faces anywhere else . Some are gorgeous some are hideous and some are in between . (IMHO)

Umm, ok, I didn't read the other threads and comments by this poster... sorry if i took things too seriously....Ichickman... cool, yeah, I'm a guy - maybe I don't notice it as much. But, from where I've been in my country, compared to most of the girls I've seen in the parts I've been to here, what I said seems correct (but, I didn't spend as much time in the bigger cities of China, such as SH, BJ or GZ - nor in the nightclubs). I was just referring to the on the street stuff. And, yeah, I do notice the skin problems as well, but I don't think acne is as much of a problem here (which could also be the 'pre-pubescent' thing - cos it takes longer :p)

About the make up, is easier to match very pale skin than other tones, what makes it easier for them to look like they are wearing no make up, I have Chinese friends that I have not recognised when seeing them without make up cos after removing contact lenses, double eye lid stickers etc...they are just a complete different person.About their beauty...I think they are very pretty (from a girl point of view) but I would not consider them the prettiest, every country just has its own charm!
